Today is my last day at home before I head off for Delhi, India. Many people keep asking me, "Are you excited to leave?" and honestly I'm not too sure. I have always thought of myself as someone who doesn't get overly excited until I am actually doing something exciting. In other words, when I am sitting on that airplane in Minneapolis airport about to take off, that is when it will probably sink in that I'm not going to see family and friends for awhile. Just know those of you reading this blog and checking up on me while I am abroad...I will miss you!
I thought it would be appropriate to include a picture of my house in my first post, seeing as this is where my starting and ending point of the trip will be (and my mother keeps bugging me about taking a picture of my house for my host family to see). Right now I think that I am trying not to expect too much out of India. Sometimes when we expect too much, we can be disappointed, so I am going into this trip with an open-mind and a willingness to learn. Stay tuned for my next post (it will probably include some pictures from Delhi) and keep me updated on what is going on in the good ole' USA.
